Twyne Launches New CI and Website for their CSI Project

We challenge you to support

The 14 Check Challenge

The 14 Check Challenge is an initiative created to help and support the young children of the Pennyville community in Soweto. Eight South African friends decided that they, with the help of the open-hearted South African public, could make a difference in the lives of some very deserving young children. Among the eight are the personalities Liezil van der Westhuisen (TV and Radio presenter) and Werner Swanepoel (ex Springbok rugby player). For 7 months, starting in July 2010, the 8 challengers will embark on a very tough journey to complete 14 hard-hitting challenges through South Africa. The aim is to create awareness of children in need and to support the little ones of the Pennyville community.

Last year was the first year of the Challenge and the participants were able to support a Pennyville crèche that was in dire need. Not only has its finances been stabilised, but enough funds were raised to provide food and other necessities for the current year.

This year there will be a further 2 crèches handed over to the community in Pennyville, which will need support. An added effort will be made to assist with the construction and maintenance of sporting facilities within the area, giving these children and others in the area the facilities to play the sports they so dearly love. And lastly we would like to assist a select few children in various other areas who have the talent to possibly become great athletes but do not have the access to equipment or support to nurture their talents.

Give them your support now, and we all can! Change a life one step at a time… and transform the nation, one child at a time.

The official 14 Check Challenges

We have carefully selected 14 events that will form part of this year’s challenge; all 14 events are rated as amongst the toughest in their class and will test each Challenger to their limit. We are hoping to add a 15th challenge this year; this challenge will be a sort of pinnacle. Rated as the toughest Mountain bike stage race in the world; The ABSA Cape Epic will if added make the 14 check challenge a true adventure.
