McCain Leadership Conference 2012

Every year McCain hosts a leadership conference to introduce their strategies for the upcoming year, as well as to commend and reward those for outstanding performance during the course of the year.

This year was no different, and once again Twyne Ideas Co. was tasked to develop this event from start to finish.

With the Olympic Games at top of mind, and with associations of determination, success and teamwork, we knew it was the perfect theme for the McCain event.

We kitted out the venue beautifully in the true spirit of the Games. We really love taking the time to ensure that everything looks perfect and runs smoothly!

Each department at McCain was allocated an Olympic sport and they were tasked to present their annual reports in theme with the sport, using relevant lingo, visuals and props. Twyne received the content and churned out some awesome multimedia presentations for the McCain guys 'n gals.

Well done to team McCain Agri - Sailing, for picking up the win!

The conference culminated in a wonderful Gala dinner,

a prize giving ceremony (including an award given to us - woohooo GO Twyne!!)

and some pretty outrageous karaoke and dancing.

Overall the conference was enjoyed by all and Twyne loved making it all happen

Our 67 Minutes for Mandela Day.

In order to commemorate 67 minutes for Mandela Day and to honour all the good he has imparted on our beautiful country and the world, we thought it’d be appropriate to help those less fortunate in our own special Twyne way.

Happy Yappers Animal Sanctuary is based just outside Magaliesberg and relies heavily on “stations” around Gauteng to foster animals and provide help in any other ways they can.

We visited one of these stations in Johannesburg and got straight to work, making sure we could do our part to ensure the resident kitties and pups would find their happy-ever-after home.

The girls spent their time making the cutest kitty mobiles...

And baking yummy treats for the dogs.

While the boys got their hands dirty, drilling and cutting tyres to make beds for our furry friends.

We also donated a massive stack of goodies to the shelter, thanks in part to our awesome client Bridget Fitschen from ProBono (bridget@quietbrooke.co.za) - a premium dog snack manufacturer.

That even had the resident wolf licking his chops

Overall we had a fantastic time and felt fulfilled to have done our bit for the greater good!

The McCain Sweet Potato Harvesting Spectacular!

It’s no surprise that the McCain Customer Experience Day was likely to cook up a storm in the food and hospitality industries, promoting the award-winning McCain Sweet Potato range.

With McCain being very close to our hearts at Twyne Ideas Company, we were so excited to be a part of such an important event on the McCain Food Service calendar – The McCain Sweet Potato Harvesting Spectacular!

As always, we were 100% involved from the get-go, crafting an idea into a memorable day for all those involved!

The Twyne girls even made up “The McCain Sweet Squad” and ensured everything went smoothly on the day!

Every guest enjoyed an array of branded goodies, as keepsakes from an unforgettable Farm-to-Fork experience. Including a jar of sweet potato jam… Nogal!

And you can’t forget our awesome Master of Ceremonies – Marthinus Carolus Christoffel Albertus Ignatius Nicholas McCain!

The venue was branded just right and there were tons of activities to choose from, as our food and hospitality guests learned more about their hosts, McCain!

Everyone grabbed a bite to eat off the yummy McCain menu…

And did a little square dancing too!

Overall, the McCain Sweet Potato Harvesting Spectacular was enjoyed by everyone, and we are very proud of the part we played in making this BIG IDEA happen!

A Special Wish for Special Clients & Suppliers

Without you, we wouldn't exist... so thank you for your valuable support, for all the LOVELY briefs, for believing in us and for loving our work! We love you right back this Valentines day!

A colourful campaign for a colourful client

For Dulux, Colour Week meant celebrating the positive effect of colour in people’s lives.

For us here at Twyne, this was a fantastic brief. After all, colour is what we do best! For us, Colour Week meant first designing an on-line teaser campaign, hinting that something fun was on the way; followed up with 7 different emailers, one for each day, informing and reminding Dulux staff of the vibey internal activities that were planned around this event. These activities ranged from presentations to the colouring of workstations to a kids’ colouring-in competition.

The design trick was to find a look that was colourful and fun while still presenting the information, and of course the prizes, in a clear and concise way.

Having a colour-focused client like Dulux is awesome. It gives us a chance to enhance their brand … and it gives us a chance to create in colourful ways.

Getting seriously silly with Snackworks - Bakers Biscuits

Christmas, the Festive Season, the Happy Holidays – whatever you call it, it’s a great time for big sales! Yip, when everyone else is starting to relax, our Baker Snackworks client needs to keep an eye on the ball, to make sure that their Christmas targets are reached.

For them it’s a time for serious business—But that doesn’t mean it’s no fun. After all, it’s also called the Silly Season, and getting into the spirit of celebration is a major part of the sales job.

That’s where we came in.

Our job was to deliver a series of desk drops to keep those sales and those targets top of our clients’ minds.

To set the scene we started out with these antlers, and a flashing red nose attached to a die-cut Jolly Jammer. Silly, yes … but it sure grabbed our clients’ attention; while still delivering the more serious sales message.

We followed up with more silliness: a Foney M CD, a branded snow globe and, finally a nutcracker tin.

It was a great success too. The Snackworks team loved what we did for them; and we loved doing it. What can we say? When the time is right, we just love being silly.

WHAT CLIENT SAID: What a hit, we had a customer who’s team wore their antler ears and nose to a 21st birthday party and another who could not believe that someone finally gave her a CD of her favourite band. The snow globes are displayed on buyer desks as paperweights all around the country. Our customers are thoroughly enjoying all the elements of the promotion.
