Chosen to play ‘Ace’ on Isidingo – ahead of thousands of others, we might add – Sisa’s mix of sexy style and sophistication fit the John Drake brand spec perfectly. It’s a great match: Sisa is inspirational while still maintaining that ‘man-next-door’ appeal; in the same vein, we’re positioning John Drake Shoes as a cut above in terms of style and quality, while still being affordable.
Of course, having Sisa as a model required photography just as sharp as the man himself. Well, take a look. It’s simple, sexy and striking. We think we captured the best of Sisa and John Drake.
As for the message, we headlined with a motivational quote, from Sisa, that emphasised aspiration and groundedness – once again, reflecting the John Drake brand philosophy.
The ads were featured in the various print media and extended into point of sale, and out of home media.
